Heléne Smuts, a Manufacturing and Tech Team Performance Expert at Credo Growth and a Global Keynote Speaker, delivered a compelling keynote on the critical role of company culture in scaling a business. She emphasized that fostering a positive, scalable culture is essential for sustaining growth and maintaining employee engagement.
4. Fireside Chat: Scaling Up Cash with CJ & Jacques
In an engaging fireside chat, Christiaan Jacobs (CJ), Lead Fundraising Consultant at Outsourced CFO, and Jacques le Grange CA(SA), Co-Founder and Director at Outsourced CFO and Vice President of TriggerCAAS, shared their financial expertise. They offered practical advice on managing cash flow and securing funding during periods of rapid growth.
5. Panel Discussion: Building Scalable Infrastructure and Technology
This panel, moderated by Dana Pretorius, Co-founder of Outsourced CFO and Director at Founders Foundation NPC, featured experts Naude and Ross Davie, Business Development Director at Silicon Overdrive. They focused on the importance of robust infrastructure and technology in supporting business scale. The discussion provided valuable insights into aligning tech investments with business goals.
6. Keynote: Execution of Scaling by Thijan Dippenaar
Thijan Dippenaar, Partner at Delta Accelerate, provided a roadmap for executing scaling strategies. Scaling a startup can feel like a constant juggling act but Thijan explained that by investing in your team's foundation, you can create a shift from frustration to freedom. Thijan gave insight on an approach that can empower your team to handle day-to-day operations while you focus on strategic growth, taking the company to the next level.
7. Keynote: Setting Up Your Marketing and Sales for Scale by Jason Bagley
Jason Bagley, Founder of Growth Experts and EO Member, led a dynamic panel discussion on scaling marketing and sales efforts. The key takeaways from Jason’s keynote were to generate more leads and book more sales meetings - you have to get in front of more people. How do you do that? Write more newsletters, publish more articles, send more emails, record more videos, ask for more referrals, get more testimonials, do more podcasts and speak on more stages. Jason quoted Naval Ravikant, “Be impatient with action and patient with results.”
